Knoll America - Success Stories

Knoll Pump Reduces Down-time by More Than 95%
The production line that machines the Ford 4.6 liter V-8 engine heads was experiencing downtime due to a competitor's pump failing every 3-6 months. A 40 GPM @ 1000 PSI KTS Knoll pump was installed in the gun drilling operation in 1996. As of January 2005, the pump has provided more than 20 times the maintenance-freeservice life of its predecessors, and has yet to be pulled for service.

Knoll Pump Works Overtime on Corvette Engines
Putting in 19 hours a day, 6 days a week, the 8 GPM @ 750 PSI KTS Knoll pump is a hard worker. Originally installed in 1995 at the General Motors facility that performs machining on Corvette engines, the pump provided more than 8 years (50,000+ hours) of continuous service before requiring its first repair in 2004. With no wear to the silicon carbide housing, the pump has been returned to maintenance-free service for many years to come.

Linamar Group
Linamar Group of Canada has been using Knoll KTS pumps on their Matsuura 600 machines since 1992. They have 13 machines and recently started to note a drop in coolant pressure on some of the high-pressure pumps. The pumps have been operating two, eight-hour shifts since 1992. After ten years service, the pumps require internal component replacement only. Pumps show no wear in silicon carbide housing and are economically repairable and returned to service for another ten years.
